All it takes is one chip of steel to ruin an oil pump or get pumped through the oil system.All you can do now is purchase a new factory drain plug. The threads do not seal the oil, its the tapered gasket under the hex flange. Some oil pan drain plugs have sealed O rings. Go to some local auto parts store or the dealer of your car and find the best drain plug with a gasket sealer at the top.
